Our purpose
Halvermere Press makes books for the betterment and education of children. Every page is meant to give a young mind something to look at closely, think about and finish with their own hands.
Our books are written for the adults who choose them: parents, grandparents, teachers, homeschooling families and anyone looking for a thoughtful gift.
Good old-fashioned activities
We believe in the simple pleasures of a pencil, a crayon, a pair of child-safe scissors and a little glue. Each book is a large-format paperback with pages to color, cut, glue and build, along with puzzles to solve and a certificate to finish. There are no screens to switch on and nothing to charge: just paper, patience and the satisfaction of a page completed.
Grouped by age
Children grow quickly, and what delights a young child is different from what holds an older one's attention. We group our books by age range, so grown-ups can pick the right fit for the child in front of them. Each book's page lists the ages it is intended for.
